The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
At Campbellville Dentistry, we strongly believe that quality dental care is a fundamental right and should not be limited to those who can afford it. With the rising cost of living and inflation, the Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP) provides much-needed support for Canadian residents with an adjusted family net income below $90,000 per year, who do not have private dental coverage.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal initiative designed to provide dental coverage for Canadian residents who do not have existing dental benefits and have a household income under $90,000 annually.
The program is overseen by Health Canada and administered by Sun Life. Dentists are not involved in determining eligibility or deciding which services are covered under the plan.
To qualify for enrollment in the CDCP, individuals must meet all of the following conditions:
Do not have access to dental insurance
Have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000
Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
Have filed a tax return for the previous year
The coverage provided by the Canada Dental Care Plan varies depending on each family’s net income. You may be responsible for a portion of the cost, which could differ from another family’s contribution. When booking your appointment, feel free to ask our team about the services covered under CDCP and the percentage of costs that apply to your specific plan.

Before scheduling an appointment, it’s essential to confirm whether your dentist accepts CDCP, as not all dental clinics participate in the program. At Campbellville Dentistry, we are proud to ACCEPT the Canada Dental Care Plan and are happy to assist you.
CDCP covers a wide range of services, including:
Please note that certain procedures will require preauthorization. This means prior approval must be obtained, based on your dentist’s recommendation, before treatment can begin. These services are evaluated with consideration of your oral health and medical history. Preauthorized treatments will be available starting in November 2024.
